Shadow

Where do the shadows go,

Slink away as night turns to day,

Once lit by moon now hidden room,

Watch as they follow close,

Turn around vanish like ghost,

Dark nature the shadow lives,

Soul drain all shadow gives,

Alien at first strike,

Struck down wear as crown,

One among the glass lung,

Song sung of spirit wrung,

Through day it lies recess,

Sun sets spring and digress,

The shadow seen less and less,

Felt behind yet nowhere mind,

Eyes closed the shadow knows,

Where to find and where it goes,

Drifts in silence seeking timeless,

Shadow retreat wait for fresh meat,

Descend the spiral contagious and viral,

Follow the lines curve wicked spines,

Chasing no end it seems to beckon,

All that is left no time to reckon,

Turn to see shadow yet missed shallow,

Corner of eye dismiss as it passes by,

Insidious grin the shadow has no skin,

No source to feel it only has sin,

Spreads thick like locust sick,

Poison death cloud embodies shadow shroud,

Infects the innocent no difference,

Makes little sense actually none at all,

Wait look there's the shadow on the wall,

Step closer and get a better look,
