Give Thanks

Gather family for joyous feast,

Indulge in thanks and not the least,

Spare no expense and let's commence,

First the turkey we cook with pride,

Oven baked but have you tried deep fried,

Don't forget potatoes take care to make those,

Mash them right add bacon to delight,

Let's add some stuffing to gather steam,

Keep this train going of gravy I mean,

Sweet potatoes or yams taste delicious,

Add some marshmallows bland you won't miss,

Baking bread or store bought,

Whatever the case essential we got,

The sauce of cranberry so tart must slice,

You forgot the pie no no that won't suffice,

Oh a joke how funny dutch apple with crumby,

Or pumpkin later on but I prefer pecan,

Topped with ice cream truly a dream,

Next day left-overs are a treat,

Because we didn't have to cook strenuous feat,

And for lunch let's make a sandwich,

That turkey tastes so good flavor so rich,

Oh it's finished is that what you say,

I guess I'll have to wait for next Thanksgiving Day
