Train

Traveling on this train so mundane,

Look to my left the puppet's breath,

They laugh when told agree from fear,

Pull this string threaten what's dear,

Money is the route this trivial pursuit,

A means to an end but tell me when it does,

The wheels keep turning and gathering rust,

Corroded from blood we sweat everyday,

Rush to wax the souls of the fray,

Glittering once but now dull as dirt,

A dream put on shelf we settle as shirt,

Possibly achieve when it gets routine,

Inch our way closer and forget what has been,

A toiling turmoil farming gold in hard soil,

So dry with no life sustained though we try,

Digging these holes with fingernails bye and bye,

Skinless wretches the flesh eating lepers,

Their religion is financial dealing debtors,

Climb this ladder with barbed wire,

Brittle steps that crack and splinter,

Fall down a size rely on bargain buys,

Solicit yourself till the masked man lends hand,

The mask hides the demon that lurks common land,

Pitch black sunglasses shade the eyes of ghouls,

Watch for those who manipulate us as tools,

They have no compassion they think of us as fools,

Come whipping boy we have no mercy just pain,

Must crack this whip and drain till you're slain,

Rip apart your dignity no shreds gone infinity,

Sell your youth to us and once you are old,

A reward of plaque and this cheap watch so cold,

A shake of the hand we are human too,

The stiff grin a cow led to slaughter says moo,

Stable the sheep make them accustom,

Hours in a box waste away in tedium,

Clock strikes grace save us from this place,

Board grey bullet shot from town's gullet,

Escape for a time take refuge and rest,

Till tomorrow tormented task torn test
