Tilt the Scales

A white light so pure inside,

Wicked winds ride to collide,

Swirls of black eddy around in attack,

Taken aback as the reins go slack,

Retract the threat by blood and sweat,

Give what you get even in debt,

Poison trickles slow pollute all I know,

Question reality or what is denied to me,

Eclipse my hopes with nightmares insanity,

They pelt my flesh with stones and sticks,

Crimson tricks wiggle in betwixt,

Hands at my sides I only smile,

Defuse the hate with lack of vile,

The white light glows to repel the darkness,

The corrupt falls away no food I starve this,

Glowing growing brighter every trial,

The scales tilt for good not defile,

Even though that light may dim,

A greater power lies within
